30 California Counties Face Reclosures

Governor Gavin Newsom has issued an update to California's COVID-19 response, including the re-closure of many businesses. 

Governor Newsom says California is now closing indoor operations STATEWIDE for the following businesses:

  • Restaurants
  • Wineries
  • Movie theaters, family entertainment
  • Zoos, museums
  • Cardrooms
  • Bars (must close ALL operations)

In 30 counties, indoor operations must close for these businesses: 

  • Fitness centers
  • Places of worship
  • Offices for non-critical sectors
  • Personal care services
  • Hair salons and barbershops 
  • Malls 

The counties impacted by the above closures are:

  • Colusa
  • Contra Costa
  • Fresno
  • Glenn
  • Imperial
  • Kern
  • Kings
  • LA
  • Madera
  • Marin
  • Merced
  • Monterey
  • Napa
  • Orange
  • Placer
  • Riverside
  • Sacramento
  • San Benito
  • San Bernardino
  • San Diego
  • San Joaquin
  • Santa Barbara
  • Solano
  • Sonoma
  • Stanislaus
  • Sutter
  • Tulare
  • Yolo
  • Yuba
  • Ventura
