Roger Earl grew up in Southwest London in the 50's and ’60s, He was hooked on American artists like Jerry Lee Lewis (it was after a Jerry Lee concert that he decided to be a drummer), Little Richard, Muddy Waters, and Chuck Berry. Foghat is still going strong more than 40 years after it formed and still tours virtually nonstop. As Roger puts it, time flies when you're having fun.

Roger - a founding member - loves that new, young audiences are enjoying their music. Maybe it’s because Foghat got it right in the first place.

Roger is fond of saying, "Be careful what you wish for."  In the interview below he shares what he wished for, along with where the name "Foghat" came from, why fans love "Slow Ride" and more!
