those affected by California Wild Fires

The recent wildfires have quickly devastated our region in Northern California, and are affecting those all over the state. Join us in supporting several local and national charities collecting donations to support the recent victims and their long road to recovery.

Financial Contributions:

  • American Red Cross: Make an automatic $10 donation by texting REDCROSS to 90999 OR click HERE
  • Tri Counties Bank: has made an initial donation of $25,000, you add donations by clicking HERE these donation will be made to the following:
  1.       - Salvation Army: Click HERE to make a direct donation.
  2.       - United Way of Northern California: to make a direct donation text BUTTEFIRE to 91999 or donate HERE
  3.       - Northern Valley Catholic Social Services: to make a direct donation click HERE

Donated Goods

  • UC Davis Police Officers are accepting monetary OR gift card donations at 2600 5th St. in Davis, CA during business hours on Friday
  • Rocklin Police Department is accepting donations at 4060 Rocklin Rd. between 10am and 2pm they are accepting the following donations: NEW adult back packs, duffle bags, laundry baskets, laundry pods, VISA, MC, AMEX gift cards, Walmart, Target, grocery, gas gift cards. LIKE NEW: Teenage boy clothing, washed and ready to wear. NEW: Men's shoes (all types, all sizes) LIKE NEW or new luggage & reusable totes, grocery bags.
  • NorCal Scout Shop is accepting donations at 3881 Benatar Way ste d, Chico, CA 95928. The following items can be donated during business hours: Toiletries, Water, Non-perishable food items, Pet Foods, New unopened toys, and Clean unused blankets. 
  • Butte Humane Society: The folloing donations are currently being accepted for the following: Cardboard Cat Carriers, Dog Kennels & Crates of ALL sizes, Leashes, Harnesses, Dog & Cat beds, Cat & Dog Toys & Giftcards to Petco, Petsmart, Tractor Supply. The Supply Pantry is located at 2580 Fair Street, Chico, CA 95928 between 9am-5pm. 
  • Realty 1 Group will be collecting donations on Saturday, November 17th at 1150 Sunset Blvd #150 Rocklin, CA. They are collecting the following items (ALL NEW): bedding, warm clothing, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, soap, towels, wash cloths, socks, underwear, brushes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, feminine hygiene products, toilet paper, air mattresses, canned food pet food.

The American Red Cross Gold Country Region is opening shelters in Chico and Oroville for people evacuating the Camp Fire in Butte County. 

The Oroville shelter is located at the Church of the Nazarene, 2238 Monte Vista Avenue.

The Chico shelter is located at the Neighborhood Church, 2801 Notre Dame Boulevard.

Stay Connected

Comcast has opened Hotspots in Yuba and Butte counties to aid residents affected by the recent wildfire. With 3200 XFINITY WiFi hotspots open throughout the counties Comcast hopes to assist emergency personnel during the Camp Fire. For a map of the hotspots click HERE. *XFINITY Internet customers can sign in with their username and password, and they will be automatically connected at XFINITY WiFi hotspots in the future. Non-XFINITY Internet subscribers should visit the “Not an XFINITY Internet Customer” section on the sign-in page to get started.
